Food & Drink in Gibraltar

Gibraltar's cosmopolitan background is evident in the variety of cuisines on offer in its many restaurants, with Spanish, French, Italian, Indian, Moroccan and, of course, British food all widely available.

Most bars serve good and inexpensive food and coffee and are a good choice for lunch or light meals while exploring the Island.

The national dish is calentita, a delicious oven-cooked chick pea fritter, thought to have been brought to Gibraltar by Genoese sailors who settled on the Rock.
