Don't have a Bad Hair Wedding Day
The sun, especially when mixed with sea breezes and sand, can do really, really scary things to your hair!
You may arrive at your wedding destination with sleek tresses but a few days on the beach or in a tropical climate can result in your look being spoiled by an attack of the frizzes or a lank floppy mess.
Make sure that is not you with a little advance preparation and careful use of products.
Plan for Beautiful Hair
Prevention is better than cure here, take good care of your locks in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding.
In the days before the wedding wear a hat when possible, especially if your hair has been coloured, and use a leave-in conditioner, preferably one with a built in sunscreen.
If your hair is becoming dry, try combing though some essential oils and leaving in overnight.
If lank lifeless hair is the problem go easy on the products - keep conditioner to just the ends of your hair and blow dry with your head hanging down to get some lift at the roots.
Hot Weather Wedding Hairstyles
An elaborate hairstyle can look, quite frankly, ridiculous at a destination wedding in a warm country, which is generally a fairly casual event.
That said wearing your hair long and loose can be risky - with wind, hot sun and humidity to contend with it will be under pressure to stay looking good all day. So simple 'up' styles are the order of the day for most people.
Keep potentially frizzy hair looking sleek in a French Plait or a Ballerina Bun - a ponytail woven into a tight bun - threaded with ribbon. Use a shine serum to add glossiness.
Headdresses and Veils
Again the trick is not to be overly fussy. A short veil is preferable to dragging a long one around in the heat and a veil which ends at neck level can look very good. Simple tiaras or barrettes will probably took even better at an outdoor event.
You could also opt to keep it really simple and classic, just decorating your hair with a beautiful fresh flower. Choose the right flower, like this hibiscus, and it can look very dramatic indeed.
